Matching Pair of Painted French Directoire Single Beds

1900 - 1920

Description

Very nice pair of matching French Directoire style sleigh beds with turned fluted columns and simple carved details. Lovely original eau de nil paintwork with rich cream detailing. Paintwork has been cleaned and waxed to preserve and joints have been checked for good fit. Suitable for standard single mattresses 90cm x 190cm /3' x 6'3".

Head board height 105cm

Foot board height 78cm

Side rail height 30cm

Overall width 100cm

Price includes wood slats (sorry not mattresses)

We can supply hand made mattresses in all comfort choices from £150 -£525 each. Details are available on our own web site under Bases and mattresses or e mail us for specifications and price list.

We can arrange national and international delivery with reliable couriers. Please send postcode/address for quotation.

Bedsteads have been sourcing, restoring and retailing antique beds and bedroom furniture for over 25 years.

We do have many beds awaiting restoration if you are looking for a particular style and can send images if requested. We have our own workshops located along side our showroom in a beautiful medieval barn seven miles south of Bristol.

Workshop/store open Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.

Saturday 10am-4pm

Sundays by appointment.
