Description

Rare late Empire 19th Century Berlin iron relief portrait plaque of Napleon in military uniform. Very similar to official portraits of Napoleon struck on commemorative medals towards the end of the Empire by Depaulis (see Bramson 1323 The Battle of Wurtchen). Gilt bronze ormolu circular frame with integral hanging loop.
