Large Polychrome Enamelled Persian Charger 19th Century

Description

This is a most attractive 19th century Persian brass charger with delightful polychrome enamelling in a striking geometric design. The charger has a dished shape with a solid brass cabled border rim around the Islamic stylised floral motifs.

The colours are most attractive with softly muted shades of pink, ochre, blue, green and ivory.

This is a good sized piece that would look stunning hung in any room.

The charger dates from around 1870 and measures 75 cms in diameter.
