The door also features the original working latch, lock and key, as well as the original geometric brass escutcheon and handle. Either side of the door, the wardrobe frame exhibits inset panels. Below, the base section consists of a single, hand dovetailed and pine lined drawer, which also retains its original working lock and key, and original brass escutcheon and handles. Internally, the wardrobe boasts a generous hanging space, having a single hanging rack. There are also 13 hooks, and a shelf on either side.

The wardrobe boasts exquisite grain configuration and ebony detailing to the plinth, drawer front, door and beneath the cornice. The wardrobe is raised on its original moulded plinth. This item also features the original backboards. The wardrobe dismantles into four sections (cornice, top, door and base), allowing easy access up the staircase into the bedroom.

Condition Report:
This item is in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the frame, but nothing significant considering its age. The door closes and locks comfortably. The door locks using the original working lock (with working key). The drawer incorporates the original brass handles and key escutcheon, with original working lock and working key. The drawer runs smoothly and closes flush to the frame. The wardrobe is raised on its original moulded. The wardrobe also features the original backboards.
