The Antique Furniture Company has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
Featuring a good colour and grain to the front, scroll corbels and a central mirror door, it has turned wooden knob handles, brass locks, catches and a key and stands on a plinth base. The interior is not lined and the hanging section has a removable shelf, original wooden hanging pegs and a later front/back extending hanging rail (this could easily be changed for a side to side rail). Of solid construction, fine dovetails to the drawers, some small nibbles to the veneer mainly at the top door edges, faded to the sides with old dark marks, an escutcheon and one handle back plate is missing but we can arrange for these to be replaced. The sliding trays could be removed and replaced with another hanging rail to give a 38 3/4in (98.5cm) high hanging space for shirts.
