Super Quality French Gilt 2 Seater Sofa

Description

Lovely quality French gilt 2 seater sofa in good original condition, with vintage upholstery, circa 1880.

Fantastically carved frame and also a comfortable salon piece with a deep sprung seat, so this is very much useable and not just for perching on.

The frame is very decorative, finished with pomegranate finials, standing on tapering, turned and fluted legs.

I have a pair of matching fauteuil armchairs at the time of listing, do let me know if you are keen on the set together.

The vintage upholstery is in pretty good condition, supplied as is, but I can help with reupholstery if required.

Measuring:

40'' or 102cm high

50 1/2'' or 128cm wide

25'' or 64cm deep

The seat height is 16'' or 41cm

Delivery to most England, Wales and Scotland addresses at £55 +vat, but please send me your postcode if you are a bit remote or coastal as it could be more...or you are very welcome to collect from me in Uppingham, Rutland

Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
