Pair Antique Chinese Cloisonne Lidded Vases with Stands

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a good pair of early 20th century Chinese champleve cloisonne lidded vases on stands with gilt bronze finials in the form of pomegranates and fine quality enamel work. The matching vases are extremely good quality with lotus flowers stylised butterflies and floral scrolls inlaid with colourful enamels raised above a gilt tooled ground. The rims and foot of the vases and lids are in polished gilt bronze and the interior and underside are in a lovely soft blue enamel. These are raised on hand carved wooden bases and measure 18 cms high overall (14 cms without stands) by 12.5 in diameter.
