Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
Of superb quality and dating from 1913, this striking combination wardrobe has a moulded cornice with a full length bevelled mirrored door with the original handle and the interior comprises of a hanging rail and handy pull out shoe rack.
Beneath is the most unique feature to add to this quality antique which is the original clothes press, ideal to keep items of clothing crease free. This sits above three mahogany lined cock beaded drawers with brass swan neck handles and the whole piece stands on splayed bracket feet and splits into four sections for easy removal. The mahogany has aged to a rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
