Description

This is a beautiful Victorian double bed in ebonised hardwood, stunningly inlaid in satinwood and oak. The wonderfully inlaid designs are very finely detailed and depict a fabulous lion to the centre of the headboard and a dolphin to the base as well as mythical sea creatures inlaid to the side rails. The head and baseboards are a wonderful shape with carved acanthus detail to the crest and stout carved cabriole legs. The bed has solid oak timber base latts that fit into the side rails so this just requres a standard double base and matress to sit inside onto these. The bed measures 140 cms high at the head 85 cms high at the base and 150 cms wide by 205 cms long overall.
