The overall width is 151 cm so king size base and mattress 150cm x 200 cm (as used for photograph) could be used. The distance across the side rails themselves is 144cm and inside the side rails is 137cm x 200 cm so a double mattress at this size could be used internally. This is a truly spectacular quality bed the like of which is getting harder to find.
