The Vintage Interiors has dated this piece to the 1890s.
The armoire has two side doors with brass inlaid panels and gilded brass mouldings.
The side sections have adjustable shelving, that could be altered to accommodate hanging rails if required. There are fitted drawers to the bases that can be removed easily if required.
The central door has a large bevelled mirror that opens to reveal a spacious storage area.
At present there are adjustable shelves to the top section and a fitted base that has linen press drawers, this can be taken out easily if hanging rails are preferred.
The base has a lovely moulded frame with brass mouldings and stands on mahogany feet with brass detailing.
The canopy has a grand look with mouldings, brass inlays and gilded finials.
There is one piece of brass fluting on the lefthand side door that has had an historic repair, it does not stand out or detract front the overall appearance. We could have it replaced with a new piece of fluting if required but it may take some of the charm away from this antique armoire. Please see photo.
The armoire completely dismantles for ease of transportation and delivery.
The armoire comes with a full set of working keys and locks.
