Description

Circa 1830, Late George IV mahogany and inlaid, four door wardrobe. With dentil details on the cornice and inlay in the frieze. The two full length doors are made up in two sections with flame mahogany and oval inlay, framed by chequered inlay with chamfered corners. There is also beading giving the impression of a second door. Inside the wardrobe there is uninterrupted hanging with a shelf above. A further two half-length doors with matching veneers and similar inlay containing 5 original pull out trays for linen. Beneath this, a configuration of two short over two full length drawers with cast brass oval back plates and cast drops (replaced.) It stands on an enclosed plinth with a half rounded moulding.
