Skippings Fine Arts has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The bronze is signed with her monogram on the verso. It is in excellent condition, with exquisite black patina.
She was solidly educated on her father's insistence, and took up sculpture and drawing. A student of Ary Scheffer, she was a talented artist with her own studio installed in the Tuileries Palace.
Many of her works survive, mostly now in the Museum of Dordrecht, in the Netherlands.
In particular, she designed the windows in St. Saturnin's Chapel of the Palace of Fontainebleau.
