Striking Victorian Figured Burr Walnut Antique Triple Wardrobe By Philips & Jones

By The quality Cabinet Makers Philips & Jones Wolverhampton and of the Finest Quality this stunning piece dates from around 1880. This Stunning antique has a moulded cornice with decorative dental moulded edge above three full length doors. The central panel has the original bevelled mirror and the two outer have quality carved panels and a central raised fielded panel with striking burr walnut and the original brass handles. The left hand interior has been later lined and has a hanging rail and two drawers with brass handles and the right hand interior has a shelf above a hanging rail and again later lined. This striking wardrobe stands on a moulded plinth and splits into four sections for easy removal. The burr walnut has aged to a rich golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
