Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
The central door is mirrored with striking carved corbels and pilasters and the outer two have beautifully figured panels with arched mouldings. The central interior has a hanging rail and two over two graduating drawers with decorative brass swan neck handles. The two outer interiors each have a brass hanging rail and have been later lined, the left hand interior has a shoe box with lift up lid. This stunning wardrobe stands on a break front plinth and splits into several sections for easy removal.
The mahogany has aged to a golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
