Interesting Pair of Japanese Bronze Vases

Description

A very fine quality PAIR of Japanese BRONZE VASES of compact size. Both of these lovely vases are beautifully inlaid with a dragon emerging from clouds. They are inlaid in silver and either silver-gilt or gold (probably gold) and both are in perfect condition. Meiji period: 6.5ins high 5.25ins diameter (16.5 x 13cms). Priced for the pair.

***The Meiji period is a Japanese era which extended from 1868 until 1912. It represents the first half of the Empire of Japan during which Japanese Society moved from being an isolated feudal society to its present modern form.
