Rare 17th Century Jacobean Two Part Oak Chest of Drawers

Description

-Welcome to Mersham Manor Antiques-

A stunning 17th century Jacobean design "cabinet" enclosed chest of drawers.

c1660.

Beautifully decorated to the front, having split turned baluster mouldings, and applied geometric mouldings.

The chest splits in two, so excellent for getting around awkward corners.

Having four drawers in total, one large deep drawer to the top, which is the top section, the cabinet section has three good sized drawers internally.

Solid oak sturdy drawers opening on side runners.

The chest has a developed the most wonderful colour and patina, very warm and tactile.

Standing on stile feet.

The condition overall is excellent original antique condition, with general expected signs of use consistent with age. Some minor historical repairs.

The dimensions are.

Width-101cm.

Depth-59.3cm.
