Description

Lovely antique victorian carved gothic mahogany double bedstead c1860

This is a lovely antique victorian carved gothic mahogany double bedstead and dating from around 1860. Constructed from quality solid mahogany it has a fabulous and intricately carved crest to the headboard above finely turned spindle supports. The footboard has the same finely turned spindle supports and each bedpost has tapering turned supports. It is supported on turned mahogany bobbin style legs.

A most imposing and attractive victorian bedstead

It is in very good condition with a deep colour and original patination to the mahogany and oozes the charm and character of the period and I am sure that whoever buys this will be very pleased with their purchase.

Measurements: height to headboard 71" X height to footboard 40" X 82" long X 54" wide

Takes a standard double mattress
