Japanese Silver Mounted Gold Lacquer & Shibayama Tsuba Signed Ryogetsu

Description

As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this high quality Silver mounted Gold lacquer and Shibayama Tsuba, the scene to the front depicts a happy Courtesan entertaining Daruma, the pair sat drinking, eating and clearly having a good time, above them looking down is Oni amidst mountain scenes, the reverse depicting a tranquil and beautiful setting of Pheasants amongst Prunus branches, the Tsuba comes in a silk pouch and bears a mother of pearl inlaid seal that reads "Ryogetsu".
