Description

A near pair of 18th century engraved pewter plates, probably Dutch each with finely engraved and chased decoration (possibly later), one depicting a European soldier on horseback with a fellow soldier on foot accompanied by a hound, the other showing a maiden accompanied by two gentlemen, beside a stream with a windmill in the background, 23 cm in diameter.

Condition

Very good and original, a whole made at the top to hang by a nail, has been filled on each one
