Mersham Manor Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
Having very attractive carved faux bamboo decoration to the doors and cornice.

Attributed to Howard & Sons, Berners Street, London. Upholsterers and fine furniture makers. Worked together with Gillows and Maples in the 19th century.
Having triple doors, with the first door opening to reveal four slides, over a large fall-front shoe box, giving a vast amount of storage. To the back of this section are several brass hooks to the back and sides, giving the option of removing the slides and hanging items from the hooks if required. The second section has double doors, one mirrored, which open to reveal a large hanging space, with the original long brass hanging rail and a couple of brass hooks to the right side. This section of the wardrobe is also lined with a very attractive white and blue striped fabric.

The quality of this elegant wardrobe is very evident. Featuring quality brass bolts, locks and door catches. The slides all open smoothly and are solid and robust.
Standing on a plinth base, again decorated with the lovely faux bamboo mouldings.

The Pitch Pine has developed a lovely warm colour, with some very attractive figuring to the wood.
The condition of the wardrobe is excellent antique condition, with expected, but minor signs of age and use.

The wardrobe is of excellent construction, and can be cleverly dismantled, to ease with transporting, and moving around awkward corners etc.
The wardrobe can be easily re-assembled, and is very robust, solid and strong.
