Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
The outer doors have moulded panels and blind fretwork carvings and unusual turned carved handles and key with working lock. The left hand double interior has a later hanging rail and hooks and the right hand interior also has a later hanging rail, shelves and a lower drawer. This stunning wardrobe stands on a moulded plinth and splits into four sections for easy removal. The oak has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
