The Antique Furniture Company has dated this piece to the Victorian era.

The doors open to reveal a semi-fitted interior with a full length and shorter hanging space and two short drawers above a long base drawer. At present there is one hanging rail and hooks but we will fit another rail if required. The doors are fitted with brass catches and an improved four lever lock and whilst there is no key a good locksmith should be able to cut one if given the lock, the drawer all have original gilt swan neck handles. It is stamped ‘Wylie & Lochead, 45 Buchanan Street, Glasgow’ and number ‘5437’.

Very good colour & and solidly constructed but has suffered some veneer loss to the bottom of the doors and top of the right hand door as well as little to the downward facing surface on the right side cornice, there is a repair to the very back edge on the right side. The lining fabric to the interior has been removed ready for replacement, the right hand space previously had two shelves but these have been removed to provide useable hanging space.

The overall dimensions at the largest points are approximately
Width - 61 ½in (155cm)
