Benefitting from an unusual tub design, it features a wrap around frame. The couch has been newly upholstered in top quality pale gold “fleur-de-lis” pattern cotton & silk brocade upholstery and incorporates horizontal pale gold rope braiding and buttoning to the backrest of the couch. The backrest is supported by two lumber supports, ensuring that the couch is comfortable to sit against. The sprung seat is firm but comfortable; you do not sink into the seat. The underside of the seat has been recovered in traditional hessian material. The couch is raised on its original fine tapering square front legs, with splayed legs to the rear, all of which terminate on their original brass castors.

The couch legs features a rich dark-brown colour. As the legs boast the original polish, they have a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
