Large Copper Jug and Wash Bowl

A very unsual and highly decorative copper jug and wash basin. The set is very classical in design and dates to the early Victorian period. The jug and bowl are very good quality and must have been made for a great house, but I am unable to find any comparison examples. The handle is of box wood and has a lovely colour and patina. The set are in good condition and the copper is a great colour, but it does have the odd knock and there is a chip of wood out of the handle. C.1840
