A William and Mary walnut chest of drawers.
c1690-1700.
The top and drawer fronts having deep, bold cross-banding, and inlaid decoration.

The drawers are oak lined, retaining the original iron locks.
With replaced, but still early 18thc engraved brass handles, and ornate brass escutcheons.
The chest is a wonderful colour, rich and warm, having developed a glowing warm patina, very tactile.

Original backboards.
Standing on bun feet.
The condition overall is excellent antique condition, very solid sturdy and strong. Historical signs of woodworm, long gone.
