In superb, original condition, this rare model of Heals antique cupboard features a drop down hat/bonnet door at the top which hinge with the ornate metal work by the Guild of Handicraft, the hinges are pierced with ying & yang motifs which are backed with red leather. There is also an iron, heart shaped keyhole escuteon over two inset panel doors that has an iron latch. All pegged construction and standing on a swept out bracketed base. Inside is a hanging space with shelving and drawers, all original brass ware, stamped Heal & Son, London and there is also a brass Heals label attached the the back. In excellent clean and original condition throughout. A very lovely piece of Ambrose Heal designed antique furniture in oak with Guild of Handicraft metal work.
