Superb George IV Mahogany Linen Press by Wilkinson of London

Description

A superb fine quality linen press by renowned makers Wilkinson of Ludgate Hill, London. This stylish press in wonderful original condition, fully Oak lined with the finest highly figured Mahogany used throughout. Having a shallow moulded cornice with panelled doors of which are decorated with ebonised acorn mouldings. The doors open to reveal 5 original slides, having an arrangement of 2 short and 2 full length drawers, all with original locks, handles and escutcheons. The top right drawer stamped by Wilkinson. The whole raised on a highly unusual 4 ball feet with a plinth base. Superb colour, patina and condition throughout. English, Circa 1830.
