The chaise features (when facing) a right-hand raised scroll arm and a down swept carved moulded frame, which incorporates a buttoned upholstered back, that terminates at the base of the swab cushion base.
The chaise has been newly upholstered in top quality cream & pale gold silk damask upholstery, interspersed with a diamond pattern incorporating floral centres and finished with matching braiding. The chaise retains the original horsehair filled swab cushion, which has been finished with buttoning and piping, and a lovely bolster cushion, complete with ruched button ends.

The underside of the chaise has been traditionally re-webbed to ensure that the swab cushion does not sag. The chaise stands on its original turned baluster mahogany legs and boasts the original brass cups and castors. The up-swept arm and backrest are solid in joint.

Condition Report:
The chaise longue frame is in very good condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the solid mahogany frame, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. There are no missing carvings or mouldings to the frame. The chaise has been newly upholstered in top quality cream & pale gold silk damask upholstery, interspersed with a diamond pattern incorporating floral centres. The chaise retains the original horsehair filled swab cushion, which has been finished with piping, and a lovely bolster cushion, complete with ruched button ends. Therefore, the upholstery is in excellent and clean condition. The underside of the chaise has been traditionally re-webbed to ensure that the seat does not sag. The chaise stands on its original solid mahogany legs, with the original brass cup and castors. As it boasts the original polish it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received. The chaise longue is well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
