The underside of the chaise has been traditionally upholstered in hessian backing material. The chaise stands on its original baluster fluted baluster mahogany legs and boasts the original brass studded collars above the original porcelain castors. The up-swept arm and backrest are solid in joint.

This chaise features a rich dark brown mahogany colour. As it boasts the original polish it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received. It is impossible to re-create this colour if it has been re-polished.
