Howard & Sons Antique 19th Century Antique Daybed.

This is a beautiful, original and early antique upholstered sofa by Howard & Sons around 1850. Standing on well turned ebonised legs which finish in top quality Copes Patent castors, all original. Currently upholstered in a later fabric, with a little too much stuffing! Heavily buttoned, a lovely piece of Howard & Sons antique seating, ready for re-upholstery. Complete with the Howard and Sons makers paper label underneath and a double line of serial, model numbers stamped onto a back leg. All very sturdy and strong and the traditionally upholstered innards are intact too.
