Exceptionally unusual oversize late Georgian period coal scuttle. The scuttle is of a heavy dense copper manufacture with the handle unusually in solid copper too most likely to cope with the weight of the scuttle full of coal. The scuttle has usual early feature of the welded dog tooth seam. The whole is in very good condition and the copper has a pleasing colour and patina.
