A Fine Japanese Mixed Media Bronze Koro Decorated with Heron in High Relief, Signed Seiya, Meiji Perod

Description

For sale is this very fine Japanese mixed media bronze Koro decorated with Heron in high relief, signed Seiya, Meiji period. The Heron in white metal with eyes picked out in gold and black, their legs of a different metal media. Each bird is naturalistically modelled and the complete piece is set off with the backdrop of the bronze colour from the Koro itself. The Koro is undamaged and shows only slight casting imperfections on one leg only, and on the rear on the ovid main body (Very slight). The Koro stands approx. 21cm high and has a diameter of approx. 13.5cm. It is truly a stunning example.
