Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
It has a moulded cornice above the most spectacular figured panelled doors in mirrored burr pollard oak with satinwood crossbanding and boxwood and ebony string inlays. The central door has the original bevelled mirror and original brass handles. The two outer interiors have later brass hanging rails and the central interior has a fixed shelf above two sliding linen trays and three graduating drawers with brass swan neck handles. This stunning antique provides an adequate amount of storage and stands on a plain plinth and splits into four sections for easy removal. The pollard oak has aged to a rich golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
