This is a lovely chest, that is full of age, charm and character. There is a secret catch on the top right hand drawer.
No loose joints and the oak lined drawers slide freely (some marks inside as is to be expected).
Good shape and fantastic proportions. Charming historic waviness and distortion.

There are no keys and the locks are consequently untested. Later handles. There are historic extinct woodworm holes (expected for 18th Century walnut/oak), that we have treated for good measure. Some veneer replacement, imperfections and repairs, typical and to be expected for period burr walnut.
