Miles Griffiths Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The chaise longue stands on simulated rosewood, turned legs which feature carved acanthus leaf decorations, all the legs finish in the original brass cup castors. Currently upholstered in a quality, ivory fabric which has a self coloured small diamond repeat pattern which is quite clean with a couple of marks that may clean off. All the traditionally upholstered innards are intact, in place and inn very good order. The seat cushion can lift off and there is a matching bolster cushion. A lovely English antique chaise longue, perfect for a bedroom, bathroom or dressing room.
