The Antique Furniture Company has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
The centre doors, fitted with a brass rail to the opening edge, conceal five original solid oak-lined slides whilst there are a further three short and two long drawers below, each beaded with rosewood and with turned knob handles (the slides could be removed to create a short hanging space). The two side doors conceal full length hanging space and single removeable shelf. There are brass catches and working locks to each door and a key is supplied for the doors.

This super wardrobe has beautifully figured flame mahogany veneers which have faded over the years giving a lovely mellowed patina. There is a graze above the left door arch and wear/dents to the polish from the doors being closed with the locks out. The bottom right corner of the plinth has lost some veneer.
