Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1890s.
It has a lovely curved moulded top above two beautifully figured cupboard doors with moulded edges, brass key escutcheons and key with working lock. The interior comprises of a shelf above a brass hanging rail. The lower section has a drawer with moulded edges and decorative brass rococo handles and stands on ogee bracket feet. The walnut has aged to a warm golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
