The Vintage Interiors has dated this piece to the 1890s.
The bed comprises of a four large barley twist columns with an internal twist within the main twist.
The bed has turned finials to each post and stands on turned oak feet.
The headboard has a carved pediment with a central wheel detail. Below the pediment there are a row of small bobbin finials.
The footboard has a scalloped top rail with bobbin detailing above and below a large centre panel.
The side rails also have the same bobbin detailing.

The bed will accommodate a mattress 1400mm wide x 2000 mm long.
We tried a kingsize mattress on the bed it hands over by 1 inch either side, see photos.
