Cast Iron Bust of Disraeli Lord Beaconsfield

19th century
Description

This well-detailed, titled CAST IRON BUST of DISRAELI, the EARL OF BEACONSFIELD, sits on a black glazed, pottery socle.

The name BEACONSFIELD is inscribed to a tablet at the base of his waistcost.

The BEACONSFIELD title was created in 1876 which helps to date the bust to around 1880, as he died in 1881.

Overall the condition is good. There are two or three surface chips to the socle. There is a circular metal plug to the top of his head (please see photograph) which could suggest the bust was, at one time, a lamp.

Diamter of Base: 6.5 inches (16.5 cm)

We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
