Description

Very early and rare antique 16th century Nurenberg brass alms dish, c 1550 . It has very typical decoration for the period with a gadrooned central boss, punched decoration and traces of rubbed text. This is a very old piece so has experienced many hundreds of years of use. Despite this I would say overall condition is good. There is a small split to the metal by the central boss areas of text have rubbed and the rim has some imperfections ,but all very much as you would expect from a piece of this age. It has a great colour/patina and a wonderful look. A rare opportunity to purchase a genuine early antique.
