This is an excellent quality, large Heals compactum wardrobe in solid oak, due to its large size, the wardrobe splits into four manageable sections, the cornice, bank of drawers, the two door robe pod and then the cupboard base.
There are nine graduation drawers, all sport fabulous original oak handles, each drawer is beautifully dovetailed and the top drawer features the Heals inset makers label. All the drawers run smoothly.
The two large wardrobe doors each have four panels with matching oak handles, inside the wardrobe is a spacious open hanging space with two original brass hanging rails.
Along the base are four cupboard doors, being these is a single storage shelf, perfect for shoes.
This early 20th century Heals oak wardrobe is in very good condition throughout and is clean inside all the drawers, cupboards and hanging space.
Most certainly made by Heals of London for a special one off order.
Although made as a very useful bedroom piece, this large Heals compactum wouldn't look out of place in a large hallway.
