Regency Mahogany Window Seat

19th century
Description

Circa 1810, unusual and stylish Regency period mahogany window seat. The raised curved ends are almost in the form of lyres and there is a small carved roundel at the top. There is a small recess on the fore edge giving the impression of a fielded panel, and 2 further carved roundels. The whole piece stands on double sabre legs finishing on brass cup castors.
