Unusual in that it still has traces of the original engraved writing on the top edge of the body. Very difficult to make out but from what can be seen, plus 50 years of experience in Victorian metalware, we can be reasonably sure that it says GOD BLESS OUR HOME. This kettle has an assortment of minor dings, the worst being on the underside of the spout. A good kettle, if only it could talk.
