In their day, copper kettles were generally made round in shape, one in twenty might be oval as they cost more to make however they poured better than their round counterparts. This kettle is oval and of a mid range size. Considering the use they got most kettles have numerous dents and pitted marks, this one seems to have escaped rough treatment(probably for being more to buy) and is in great original condition. Cleaned and polished ready to enjoy.
