Prior and Willis has dated this piece to the 1800s.
Recently restored to a high standard, with a good clean (recent) silk lining to the hanging compartment.
The drawers (ash lined) and doors open and close freely. We have a key for the door only.
Splits into three pieces for transport, although the centre section is quite large (168cm tall) and heavy.
No significant woodworm.
Overall maximum dimensions: 139cm wide, 68cm deep, 228cm high (good sized hanging space 59cm wide, 53cm deep, 137cm high).
Later hanging rail. There is a little minor veneer cracking, but all is stable and well glued (totally to be expected on a piece that is close to 200 years old).
As with all genuine antique furniture, you can expect to see some historic knocks, marks, wear, imperfections, cracks, scratches, repairs and/or alterations.
