Late C19th 'Grand Tour' Italian bronze ewer decorated in the style of an ancient civilisation. Finely detailed bronze bodied ewer with loop handle , mask spout and mounted upon a black marble base. The body decorated with bands of animals, boar and bulls in particular, possibly in reference to the works from the ancient Minoan civilisation. The handle decorated with twin beaded bands of decoration ,terminating in an anthemion style classical leaf motif. Minor dent to body.
