The couch which has been freshly upholstered, is constructed of solid walnut and features a stunning carved central cartouche flanked by further floral carvings to the bowed top rail frame above three shaped upholstered padded backs that slope towards arms which are adorned by acanthus leaf and lattice scribe carvings. The base of the couch is firmly sprung so that you do not sink into the seats but at the same time is extremely comfortable. The couch has been freshly upholstered in top quality gold embossed silk & cotton brocade upholstery. The front of the couch features a serpentine design interspersed with floral carvings. The couch stands on elegant carved cabriole legs.
This item features a rich mid brown walnut colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

This couch is in excellent condition. It has been freshly upholstered therefore the upholstery is in excellent condition (clean and no signs of wear, tear or damage). The carved frame and arms are also in excellent condition with no splits or lose joints. Furthermore, all carving is complete and not damaged. The backs and arms are solid. This item is solid in joint, does not wobble and is ready to use.
