The couch is constructed of walnut, features a straight back with down swept arms that have turned reeded spindle supports to the front of the arms. The couch is upholstered in hardwearing cotton and wool floral embroidered upholstery and a matching braid; what we believe to be the original upholstery. The base of the couch is firmly sprung, with the original stuffing, so that you do not sink into the seats but at the same time is extremely comfortable. The couch stands on elegant ring turned and reeded walnut legs to the front and splayed legs to the back.
The couch features a rich walnut brown colour. As its boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

Condition Report:
This couch is in good original condition. There is some wear to, what we believe is the original upholstery, on the corners of the back of the couch and the back outside edge of the top rail (see photos). Otherwise, the upholstery is in clean condition and is free of any other marks, wear and tear. We do offer a re-upholstery service if you would like the upholstery replacing with a fabric of your choice – please contact us for a quote. The back and arms of the couch are in excellent condition with no splits or lose joints. This item is solid in joint, does not wobble and is ready to use.
