Description

Antique scroll arm flame mahogany sofa. Dates from C1825-1845. Rare and attractive... better than most... lovely slender simple design. Includes the bolster cushions. Horsehair / wadding stuffing. Very heavy and strong, with no loose joints. No significant woodworm. Great proportions and styling. The sofa has recently been reupholstered in a heavy weight upholstery fabric, with a natural, light cream/oatmeal colour.

As with all genuine antique furniture, you can expect to see some historic knocks, marks, wear, imperfections, cracks, scratches, repairs and/or alterations. Dissimilar period ceramic castors with some wear (as you would expect). There are a few historic repairs to the veneer on the backrail and one of the rear legs has been repaired (solid and strong now).

Overall maximum dimensions: 211cm wide, 63cm deep, 93cm high (42cm high seat when sat on).
